This is why I don't watch TV during commercial breaks. I just want to let off some steam about various rediculously sickening commercials that I unfortunately find on TV. Sorry about the negativity.

1. Sylvan Learning Center: First of all, I am sick of the lying. Here's my rule: If any commercial has to hire actors to play more-than-phony parts and make something look better than it is, their product is crap. I'm tired of the glorious sunlight shining through the window, and the emotional teary-eyed faces the parents make when they see the grades. From what I hear, they overprice (note they don't include prices in their commercials) and you can get just as good quality at coach class.

2. Checkers commercials: Once again, the lying. They show these people holding these big 5-pound burgers--may I add that I absolutely CANNOT STAND the way they hold them; on the edges like their hands can't fit around them--yet when you go there they charge you 5 dollars for a silver-dollar-sized burger.

3. Pizza Hut: I thought I might add a positive one. I like pizza hut, and their commercials are pretty true, because everytime I get a pizza from there it looks like what they show on the commercial. The service isn't bad either. That's true advertisement.

4. Chocolate/Coffee commercials, period. I find these to be overexaggerated and unnecessary. They find the most french-sounding, dry-mouthed woman they can find to do the narration for these commercials. They want to make sure she says "rich and creamy" just right, and pronounce "chocolate" in the most milky, creamy and delicious way possible to make it sound fancier than it is and you just HAVE to have it. Its just chocolate. It's just coffee. Enough with all the italian "blank-a-chino" words and accents. It's not that serious.

Yes--most of these are about food. These are the types I see the most blatant lying. Its almost like advertisement is a synonym for lying. You might see more commercials on here later. Comment back--I want to hear what you think.

i find most commercials are aimed at pretty stupid people who really cant think for themselves. it is the rare commercial that impresses me. as it stands, i can't afford to buy a t.v., and one needs to pass a credit check before they can afford cable. another alternative is this transition thing, but i hear it hasn't been a good experience for most. prior to the transition i was watching alot of t.v. but my t.v. was decent enough to use it for the changeover so i just got rid of it. i miss t.v. alot after dark. since the weather is warm now, i read alot and keep checking c.d.'s out of the library. commerical i like:

"there ain't not bugs on me
there ain't no bugs on me
there might be bugs on some of you mugs but there ain't no bugs on me"

they dogs and cats sing in a choir about this flea collar. don't know whether it works because "i" haven't tried it!
